c.contrast was in my cover letters because of the different font with the name and the signatures at the end.
r. repatition is there because of the repeated topics in the cover letter.
a. the alignment was straight down and well put together.
p. the proximity was there because the basic information was grouped together and the actual letter and topics were grouped together.
p.the purpose of thses cover letters was to either get hired or get into a program.
a. the audience was potential employers.
g. the genre was a cover letter.
e. the engagement was to persuade a person about how well they will fit into there program and it also helped me to understand how to organize good cover letters.

My reflection. I did a coverletter based off of inspiration from my three models. I try to emphasize in my own models the importance of my task instead of dwelling on the topic of hiring me. I decided to do this because I believe a cover letter is self explanatory and they will have already know my desire to get hired by there organization. I decided to use the crap and page principles as well as my models to help me design a good cover letter. I incorporated (contrast) by adding a different font in my writing from my signature to make my name stand out and to make it look professional. I then incorporated (reaptition) by restating over and over again my mission statement of getting college students excited about staying in college. I used (alignment) by making sure all of my sentences were aligned up perfectly and not spaced out unnecessarily. I then used (proximity) by grouping my name and contact information together in one group, then grouping my actual letter in another group, and lastly my conclusion sentence in another group.my (purpose) was to get hired by a university so that I can encourage college students to stay in college no matter the challenges. my (audience) was a future employer and college students. my (genre) was a cover letter. Finally my(engagement) that I got out of this was the successful completion of a well thought out cover letter to prepare me for the future when I will actually used these principle for a real cover letter.

c.The contrast is there because of the different colors to make up the brochures.
r. repetition is there because of how the titles are formed to be bigger in picture three then the explanation is behind it.
a.The alignment is also very clear.
p. the proximity is there because the titles are grouped together and then the explanations are grouped together.
p.The purpose was to inform..
a.The audience in the first picture was for faculty and staff while the other was for teens at risk of jail.
G. the genre was brochures.
E. the engagement was to get people aware of things that are going on

My reflection. In my own model of a brochure, I decided to do a power point about how to stay persistent in college. I felt that a power point will not only capture my audience in an interesting way, but would also be more beneficial to the message I was trying to get across. I felt that a power point will give the image a more in depth visual and would compel a more powerful message. I decided to use my examples of the brochures to guide me into creating a good power point. I also analyzed these brochures with the crap and page principles and decided to use the same principles for my power point. I used (contrast) with the two different colors I incorporated by I did not want to use too many colors because then it would have defeated the purpose of contrast. I then used (repetition) by repeating my purpose of the power point, which was to keep college students in school. I made sure my (alignment) was neat and group my headings and messages together in different groups, which demonstrated (proximity). My (purpose) of this power point was to persuade college students to use the resources that are available to them to help them stay persistent in college. I also wanted to increase the number of graduates and decrease the number of dropouts. My (audience) was mainly for adults to encourage their children to use these resources, but audience could also had been targeted at college students. My (genre) was a power point and my (engagement) that I got out of this was to successfully see the different styles of messages. By seeing two different forms it gave me an idea of how much one message style can have in impact on someone opposed to another messaging style.

c.constrast is present in these satires because of the colors and the topic.
r.repetition is there because the are constantly repeating the topic about student debt.
a. the alignment is there with the pictures being close to each other.
p.proximity is also there because everything is grouped probably together like the kids in example 2.
p. the purpose was to convince college students that they will eventually be in debt.
a. the audience was the college students.
g.the genre was cartoon strips.
e. the engagement was to inform college students and college graduates about the debt and to have them ask themselves is college worth it.

My reflection. For my satire poster, I decided to pretend I was receiving a mocked degree from Bloomsburg University. I stated in my poster that all you get from college is bad credit and debt. I used my example posters to help guide me into creating my own. Even though you do have to pay back loans after you receive a college degree, This does not necessarily mean that you will be in debt because of it. There are many opportunities to receive scholarships and there are also payment plans that your university can put you own that can go as far as 20 dollars a month. There are also work study jobs on campus that can help you pay for college and a residence life job called a CA or an RA that will pay for your living expenses. So in my poster I wanted to create a satire that exposes assumption that college put's you in debt. I also wanted to use the crap and page principles to create a well organized poster.
